Martial has impressed for United ever since Solskjaer took over, much like the likes of Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard. He came up with an impressive performance against Fulham and has found the back of the net nine times this season.
Ahead of United’s game against PSG in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, Solskjaer was talking to the press about Martial and his abilities.
He compared him to Ronaldo and said: “If he wants to be at the level of Cristiano Ronaldo, Anthony knows what he has to do, it depends on him, he has the talent.”
The Frenchman is just 23 and joined United from Monaco in the summer of 2015 and has been one of the club’s most important player. While Martial did struggle under Jose Mourinho, he is back to his best under Solskjaer.
Ever since Solskjaer arrived, Martial has scored thrice and has assisted twice.
