Ronaldo hugs topless pitch invader who simulates his celebration at Sassuolo

An over-enthusiastic fan was taken away by security after running onto the pitch to hug superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese forward scored the second goal as Juventus won 3-0 at Sassuolo to end a two-game winless run and move 11 points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Just moments before finding the back of the net with a towering header, Ronaldo was approached by a passionate fan who appeared to be copying his iconic celebration before just wanting a moment of embrace.

The topless supporter was able to reach the Juventus star before stewards stepped in to escort him off the pitch to allow the game to continue.

Ronaldo had an eventful game for the Turin-based side as they overcame a slow start to claim a comfortable victory.

He had a goal ruled out for offside and also unintentionally blasted the ball into the face of team-mate Sami Khedira, who had opened the scoring after Ronaldo’s first half effort was saved.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid man has now scored 20 goals this season, meaning he has bagged at least 20 goals in each of his last 13 seasons.
