‘He’s not acting’ – Pogba praises Solskjaer as he launches jibe at Mourinho

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has launched a thinly-veiled jibe at Jose Mourinho by stating that caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ‘not acting’ and is ‘giving joy to everyone’.

Pogba endured a difficult relationship with former United boss Mourinho and found himself on the bench during the latter stages of the Portuguese’s spell at the club.

Solskjaer has implemented a significantly more positive environment at United and his side have reaped the benefits, winning ten of his eleven games in charge.

Pogba scored a brace as United continued their fine form with a 3-0 victory away to Fulham and was full of praise for Solskjaer after the game.

Asked what Solskjaer has brought to the club, Pogba told Match of the Day: ‘It’s his joy. He’s not playing, he’s not acting. He’s just giving joy to everyone’.

While Mourinho was in charge there had been much speculation regarding Pogba’s future, but the 25-year-old certainly seems settled at United now.

Following the win over Fulham, United are in fourth place in the Premier League, although they have played a game more than Chelsea, who face Manchester City away on Sunday.

United return to action on Tuesday when they host Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

Meanwhile, United are hopeful that David De Gea will sign a new contract with the club eventually, although the goalkeeper is refusing to budge on his demands of wages of £350,000-a-week.

Earlier this season United triggered a one-year extension on De Gea’s contract
