Barcelona among interested clubs in Chelsea forward

According to what has been reported by Cadena Cope today, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Monaco and Atletico Madrid are the four teams left in the race for Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata. The former Juventus forward has struggled at Chelsea and, despite being given more chances under Maurizio Sarri, has still failed to impress as much as he should.

Sevilla were amongst the interested yet Chelsea’s demands put them off; leaving just the big four aforementioned clubs in the race. Monaco are already working on bringing Morata’s compatriot and Chelsea teammate Cesc Fabregas to France; as they look to recover their season, so this could be an option.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich, meanwhile, could take a chance on a forward who definitely has the ability – just takes some effort unlocking it. Morata’s future is all up in the air – if Eden Hazard leaves Chelsea, Morata may not be allowed the luxury. Chelsea were also in the running for Gonzalo Higuain but a January deal now seems unlikely and, therefore, the chances of Morata staying in West London rise by the day.
