Juventus will reportedly offer Mario Mandzukic a contract extension, in exchange for lowering his salary.

The former Croatian international scored the winner against Inter last night, his eighth goal of the season.

According to this morning’s Corriere dello Sport, the Bianconeri and the player’s entourage are discussing a new contract.

The striker’s current deal expires in 2020, and Juve are willing to extend that by two or three seasons.

Mandzukic would take a cut in his basic salary, from €3.5m to €3m, part of which would be made up of bonuses.

That would allow the 32-year-old to end his career in Turin.
