Two of the world’s footballing superstars met on Friday night as Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba bumped into one another in Dubai.
The France and Argentina World Cup representatives met by chance at Salt Bae’s steak house while holidaying during the international break, and talk quickly turned to their clash from the summer.
Pogba’s country defeated Messi’s 4-3 in the World Cup last-16, with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante putting in an impressive display to quiten his opposition’s main man.
The match spawned a chant about Kante among the French supporters, in which they claim he “stopped Lionel Messi.”
Paul Pogba took this opportunity to bring the song up to Lionel Messi’s face, during a conversation that can be heard in the video below.
While singing the chant, Messi interrupts him and says: “That’s a lie!”
