Roma and Arsena will swap players

Roma striker Patrik Schick could be on his way out in January, with Sevilla, Valladolid and Arsenal showing interest, potentially in a swap with Aaron Ramsey.

Schick was a marquee signing for the Giallorossi in the summer of 2017, at a cost of €14m plus up to €8m in performance-related bonuses.

However, between numerous injuries, poor form and a heart condition that delayed his debut, the 22-year-old managed just three goals in 34 competitive appearances for the club.

If he doesn’t start delivering on the undoubted promise shown at Sampdoria soon, then a January exit is on the cards.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, options include Sevilla and Valladolid in Spain, but there is also the Arsenal alternative.

In this case, Roma would be able to request Ramsey as part of the deal, knowing the Wales international will be out of contract in the summer.

Arsenal need a new forward after losing Danny Welbeck to a very serious injury this week.
