Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been approached by representatives of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over his availability, according to Sky Sports.

Conte is Real Madrid president Florentino Perez’s first choice to replace Julen Lopetegui if Real Madrid sack their manager. Perez’s entourage have already been in touch with Conte to ask about his availability.

Conte chose not to go to Real Madrid last summer because he needed a break from the game.

Chelsea are not commenting on reports elsewhere that claim they would be owed as much as £9.5 million in compensation.
