Isco spoke about the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday afternoon, explaining that the club need to move on and that they can’t shed tears over his exit, before the No.7 responded later that evening.

Ronaldo agreed with Isco that there’s no need to cry about something that is now in the past.

Both players were speaking at their respective pre-match press conferences ahead of their clubs’ Tuesday night Champions League matches.

“Real Madrid can’t cry over someone who didn’t want to be here,” Isco said when discussing the forward’s summer move to Juventus.

Speaking to media at Old Trafford, these remarks were then put to Ronaldo and he had a simple response.

“Very good, very good,” he said.

“You can’t cry.”

The drama was left at that, with Ronaldo not wanting to say much more about Real Madrid.
