According to Spanish news outlet ‘SER’, Neymar has an agreement with PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he can leave the club for a fee of €220m, amid reports of interest from former side Barcelona.

The transfer window may still be close but that hasn’t done anything to dampen rumours of Neymar leaving PSG in the near future, with reports claiming the Brazilian is keen on a return to Barcelona.

According to ‘SER’, the Samba star has an agreement with Al-Khelaifi that he can leave the club this summer, for a fee of €220m.

Whatsmore, the same source also claims that Neymar made contact with a senior Barca official several weeks ago in order to ask the club to push through his return, saying that he has made a mistake in moving on.

‘Mundo Deportivo’ reported on Wednesday that Neymar was keen on a return to his former stomping ground and had offered himself back to the Spanish champions, though it was stressed that any decision would be left up to manager Ernesto Valverde.

The reports have snowballed since, with some reporting that Barca’s players have made it clear that they would welcome back their former team-mate with open arms, with Neymar remaining close with several prominent members of the Barca dressing room, none moreso than Lionel Messi.

Barca themselves are also said to be weighing up a move. “The club is not ruling out any move out of hand. Club officials will only push forward with a move if the coaching staff give it the green light,” read the report in ‘Mundo Deportivo’.

Meanwhile, ‘Esporte Interativo’ journalist Marcelo Belcher, who was among the first to break the news of Neymar joining PSG, has said: “I think this is his last season with PSG. I see him as closer to joining Real Madrid than Barcelona.”
