Julen Lopetegui has been forced to live through arguably the most testing run of results in his coaching career as Real Madrid have gone four matches without scoring, however the former Porto coach has been buoyed by Isco returning to training, even if he is working out on his own.
The Spanish playmaker has been absent for Los Blancos’ poor run of results courtesy of appendicitis, undergoing surgery on September 25.
Isco worked alone on Thursday, as was reported on the club’s official website, whilst Dani Carvajal and Karim Benzema continue to work separately from the main group too as they continue their own respective recoveries.
Lopetegui oversaw Thursday morning’s session, which included Alvaro Odriozola, Mariano Diaz, Lucas Vazquez, Marcelo, Kiko Casilla and Luca Zidane.
This session merged with Castilla’s own planned training session as the players worked on ball retention before ending with a series of miniature matches.
