Danish midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has jumped to the top of Real Madrid’s transfer wishlist ahead of next summer’s transfer window. Eriksen, one of Tottenham Hotspur’s biggest stars, joins Neymar as personal objectives for Florentino Perez next season. Eriksen has been linked with a move away for the past two seasons and was linked with Barcelona before the club signed Arturo Vidal.

According to Cadena Cope’s ‘El Partidazo’ radio programme, Eriksen is liked by those at Real Madrid “as the person to replace Luka Modric”. In the same programme, Paco Gonzalez said that ‘Plan A’ for Real Madrid wasn’t to sign Eden Hazard but rather Eriksen and Neymar.

Eriksen is currently suffering from an injury and hasn’t been able to play for Tottenham in recent weeks however no one can question his ability. He’s an important piece in this Tottenham team, just as he is for Denmark. Spurs have a history of selling their star players though.
