Real Madrid have set their sights on former player and Bayern Munich star James Rodriguez after failing in their pursuit of Hazard. The attacking midfielder is currently on loan at Bayern, who also possess an option to buy him for £38m. Madrid though need reinforcements and Lopetegui has identified Rodriguez as the man to take them forward.
However, the player himself has shot down the move. “So far I am still at Bayern,” Rodriguez stated. “I am happy and they have shown their affection for the people and the team.”
