Le10Sport: The Belgian playmaker will reportedly join Los Blancos for £170million
Chelsea teammate Thibaut Courtois could be part of this deal
The personal terms have already been agreed on
According to Le10Sport, Chelsea and Real Madrid have come to an agreement on Eden Hazard’s £170million move. The huge sum, however, could mean that Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also included in this colossal deal. Another French outlet RMC Sport claims that personal terms between Hazard and Los Blancos have also been agreed on.
Both Belgian players have indicated their desire to leave Chelsea this summer. Antonio Conte’s dismissal and the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League are the main reasons behind this decision. Even Maurizio Sarri’s arrival won’t be enough to salvage the disastrous situation at the London-based club.
Speaking to the media after Belgium’s 2-0 win over England last week, the Hazard all but confirmed his departure plans. He said: “After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different.”
As for Courtois, RMC Sport reported a couple of days ago that the Belgian goalkeeper was on his way to the Bernabeu stadium for just €35million.
