Pep Guardiola will finally transfer his long-term target Riyad Mahrez. According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City and Leicester City have agreed a £ 60m fee for the Algerian star. It is believed that Mahrez will undergo medical tests in the next 48 hours.
Premier League champions are in talks since last month. Guardiola was keen to sign Mahrez on the deadline of the winter’s transfer window but it did not happen.
Mahrez went AWOL after Leicester’s firm stance but returned to training after 10 days and finished the season strongly with four league goals in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, the Foxes are closing in on the signing of Norwich City’s James Maddison as Mahrez’s replacement.
