Barcelona has a plan if former Tottenham player Paulinho leaves .

While they have been linked with Antoine Griezmann, it seems that Catalans will try to recruit Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman is not really liked at Old Trafford, scoring only ten goals in the Premier League since joining the Red Devils two seasons ago for more than 100m euros.

It seems that Lionel Messi has special respect for the Frenchman, who was a key player in Juventus.

Pogba recently called Messi an “idol” and said playing with Messi would be “a real dream” in 2015 when he was still with the Old Lady.

The idea would be to play Philippe Coutinho in the side, which means that Barça will need someone in the middle.

Pogba is preforming very well at the World Cup. Coach Ernesto Valverde has made it clear that if Paulinho goes they will need a replacement.

Pogba would be a massive improvement over Paulinho, who still started the season very good, marking a number of key goals. The 29-year-old ended with nine league goals.
