Real Madrid staff’s Champions League final ticket supply outweighing demand

The difficulty in getting to Kiev, finding a hotel and attending the Champions League final is already getting to fans but Real Madrid’s friends and family are also seemingly none too keen on heading out to Ukraine.
In contrast to previous showpieces that Los Blancos have taken part in, some players are returning their personal match tickets, indicating an oversupply of seats for their loved ones on May 26.
For example, the 2013/14 trip to Lisbon for the final with Atletico Madrid saw the demand for tickets from Real’s squad outweigh supply by three times.
A whopping 800 spaces in Kiev are on offer to the staff and employees of the LaLiga club whereas Real were forced into a lottery system when allocating tickets to their fanbase, although even those with a seat booked have had difficulty finding accomodation and flights.
All this adds up to the significant chance that the game with Liverpool could take place in front of a stadium not filled to capacity.
