Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear that his future lies with Real Madrid. “I want to stay here, I love this club.”

Ronaldo had been linked with a move away from Madrid after a tough start to the 2017-18 campaign and tax problems off the field, but the Portuguese assured he had no desire to play for another team.

“My future at Madrid? Of course,” he told Dongquidi.

“I like living here, I’ve lived in this city since 2009 and I love the weather and the people. It’s close to Portugal and can be reached by car.

“Spain is a great country, and I love It here. Of course I want to stay here, I love this club.

“Kick in the face against Depor? I’m usually hit in matches because I have to be stopped, but I wasn’t so lucky on this occasion.

“Now I feel better. I’m still as happy as I was before, I’m still handsome and my vision is as clear as it was before, so there’s no problem.

“Ballon d’Or? To be honest, I never thought I could win a Ballon d’Or or two, let alone five.

“Therefore, if I don’t win the Ballon d’Or again, I’ll remain very, very, very proud of myself.

“Of course, my ambition is to win more personal trophies and win more with the team, but I’m not obsessed with Ballon d’Ors.

“It’s great that I’ves shared this award with Messi in recent years. It’s great to be able to share this honour with another great player.

“Retirement? My plan to retire at 41 is probably harder to achieve now, but I’m living for the moment.”
