Milan are reportedly waiting for the Chinese transfer window to shut later this month before they pursue a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Nikola Kalinic is not Milan’s only striking target as they are working on “another big coup” for Aubameyang.

The newspaper explains Fabio Cannavaro’s Tianjin Quanjian remain keen on the Borussia Dortmund attacker but have until July 15 to sign him.

The Rossoneri are said to have recently offered Aubameyang €7.5m a season, but that was considered some way below Tianjin’s proposal.

However, Chinese clubs have been dealt several blows to their free-spending ways, meaning Milan may feel positive about their chances.

Aubameyang was a Diavolo youth player but left for Saint-Etienne in 2011 before joining Dortmund two years later.

The 28-year-old would cost in excess of €50m, but there is the argument that the outlay is necessary for bringing in a player of his calibre.

As for Kalinic, Milan will not go over €20m for the Croat, who is valued at €30m by Fiorentina.
