As per a report from PremiumSport this evening, Premier League giants Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, with the Croatian having reportedly rejected the chance to renew his contract at the San Siro.

The Red Devils’ pursuit of Perisic has been one of the stories of the transfer market so far, though updates had gone somewhat quiet of late after it was revealed that Inter had done enough to ease their Financial Fair Play concerns.

Following news of the Nerazzurri balancing their books, it was soon reported by a number of Italian outlets that Luciano Spalletti and co. had offered Perisic a new contract with improved terms in an attempt to secure his long-term future with the club.

However, as per the aforementioned report, Inter’s offer of 4 million Euro per season has been swiftly rejected by their Croatian winger, with Perisic having his heart set on a move to Old Trafford to work with Jose Mourinho.

On the back of this news, respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that United have seen their newest bid of 45 million Euro plus bonuses for Perisic rebuffed by the Serie A giants.
