Newly promoted Getafe are hopeful their strong working relationship with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid will help them bolster their squad this summer.

Based in the southern suburbs of the Spanish capital, Los Azulones are keen on loaning players from their city rivals and are set to sign winger Alvaro Jimenez, on loan at the club last season, from Real Madrid for €1m.

“On Tuesday we visited Atletico and a few names that were presented to us might be of interest,” Torres is quoted as telling reporters by Marca.

“We will talk to Real Madrid too and make some effort to get some players.

“A couple could arrive from each club because the names that have been given interest us.

“Alvaro Jimenez has been playing well and we have a purchase option, so I will go to see Real Madrid in the coming days because we are going to use it.”

Getafe are back in the top flight after a year away following a playoff final victory over Tenerife.
