Juventus negotiate for Manchester United defender

Juventus are reportedly negotiating with Manchester United for Italian international Matteo Darmian.

Dani Alves will leave the Bianconeri in the coming days, most likely for Manchester City, meaning there’s a gap at right-back.

While Danilo of Real Madrid would be an option, his arrival would mean Douglas Costa couldn’t be signed from Bayern Munich due to rules on non-EU players.

Therefore, reports calciomercato.com, Juve are trying to work out a deal for former Torino full-back Darmian.

Their initial offer of a loan with option to buy was rejected, but the website believes that doesn’t mean that Darmian is off the market.

United could be willing to do business on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy, with the Old Lady signing the 27-year-old for €20-22m.
