Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is hopeful his compatriot Kylian Mbappe will eventually join him at the Bernabeu.
The teenage Monaco striker has been linked with a big-money move to the Spanish champions for months and Varane believes ‘it would be a pleasure’ to share the same dressing room.
“Mbappe is a very good youngster with a huge potential,” Varane told Telefoot, as quoted by AS.
“It would be a pleasure to see him here. In addition to that he is French, so he would be welcome. We will surely get the chance to discuss this.
“Juventus? They are immense and they have made history, our duel in the next game will have an influence on the Ballon d’Or.
“We’re not acknowledging enough how Ronaldo is making football history right now. I’m lucky to play with him.”
The 18-year-old striker netted 26 times in his first full campaign to help propel Monaco to the Ligue 1 title.
