Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann ‘has made it very clear’ he will not leave the club this summer according to assistant coach Juan Vizcaino.
Vizcaino’s comments follow on from those of Atleti president Enrique Cerezo claiming the 26-year-old would not be leaving the club this summer.
“I think Griezmann will stay,” Vizcaino, a former Atletico player, told Cadena Ser.
“At this stage, you can misinterpret remarks made by anyone. I think Griezmann has made it very clear in his mind that he will remain.”
The French international had previously stated his chances of joining Manchester United this summer were ‘6/10’ and later claimed he wanted to win trophies, alluding to a move away.
