Mauricio Pellegrino has left Alaves after just one season at the club and guiding them to a first ever Copa del Rey final and top half finish in La Liga.
After Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Barcelona in the Copa showpiece, the Argentine Coach stated he had already decided his future, with players hinting it was the end of an area at the club.
“I’ve had a great time at this club and have enjoyed my year here,” Pellegrino told his farewell press conference.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody at the club for helping us to achieve success this season, particularly the players.
“I am sure this club will continue to grow and meet their objectives due to the setup that it has.”
AS have linked him with a move to Sevilla to replace the outgoing Jorge Sampaoli while Marca believe England could be Pellegrino’s destination, with the vacancy at Crystal Palace a possibility.
