Predicted Real Madrid Lineup To Face Deportivo La Coruna In La Liga

Real Madrid will take on Deportivo La Coruna at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, as they hope to stay in touch with the top sides in La Liga.

The Galacticos find themselves in 4th place after 19 games. They are a whopping 19 points behind runaway leaders Barcelona, 10 behind 2nd-placed Atletico Madrid and 8 below Valencia who sit 3rd. With the hopes of qualification for the UEFA Champions League in the balance, Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will be hoping that his troops stand up and get back to winning ways with a triumph on Sunday.

They come into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Leganes in the Copa Del Rey quarterfinals on Thursday night and will be keen on carrying the momentum against Deportivo.
Team News

Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema are once again likely to be absent for the reigning champions of Spain and Europe. There are no other injury concerns for Zidane and he is likely to include a number of star players that he opted to leave out for the midweek clash.

Here’s how Los Blancos could take the field on Sunday:
Manager: Zinedine Zidane
Formation: 4-3-1-2
Keylor Navas (GK)

Having missed out on the short trip to Leganes during the midweek, the Costa Rican international will return to action on Sunday.
Dani Carvajal (RB)

The senior right-back in the Madrid squad, Carvajal is expected to continue in the starting XI ahead of Achraf Hakimi.

Dani Carvajal
Raphael Varane (CB)

With Sergio Ramos out on the sidelines, the onus of taking over the leadership at the back falls on Zidane’s fellow countryman Raphael Varane.
Nacho (CB)

Varane is likely to be partnered by academy graduate and utility man Nacho in the heart of the defence against Deportivo.
Marcelo (LB)

The Brazilian was given a day off on Thursday but should return to the playing XI for the weekend’s game at the expense of Theo Hernandez.
Luka Modric (CM)

The Croatian made an appearance from the bench against Leganes but will definitely be involved from the kick-off on Sunday.
Casemiro (CM)

The Brazilian midfielder is a key part of the Madrid midfield in the sense that he offers a defensive shield to the back four. Should start against Deportivo.
Toni Kroos (CM)

The German international will complete the midfield trio for the Spanish champions. He will need to be at his best for Madrid to get their mojo back.

Gareth Bale
Isco (CAM)

The Spanish international was on the bench in the cup game but should be reinstated to the starting XI for Sunday’s clash.
Gareth Bale (ST)

The Welshman needs to start doing more for the team’s cause if his side are to get out from their appalling run of form.
Cristiano Ronaldo (ST)

Same goes for the 2017 Ballon ‘d Or winner. Has struggled to get going in the La Liga this term but needs to step up in a big way if Madrid are to end this run of poor results.
