Official: Pochettino signs a new five-year contract with Tottenham until 2023
Tottenham have confirmed Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new deal to stay on as manager until 2023. They officially announced:
“We are delighted to announce that Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new five-year contract with the Club, which runs until 2023.
“First Team Coaching staff Jesús Pérez, Miguel D’Agostino & Toni Jimenez have also agreed new contracts. ”
The deal is understood to be worth in the region of £8.5million a year – making him one of the top earning bosses in the top flight.
Sportsmail revealed on May 15 that Pochettino would hold talks over an extension as part of discussions with chairman Daniel Levy and that deal has now been agreed.
The news comes as a huge boost to Spurs ahead of next season.
Pochettino will now focus on improving his squad as he looks to mount a sustained title tilt next season.
