REAL MADRID will have to stump up an incredible amount of money should they wish to prise Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, according to shock reports in Spain.
Salah has flourished during his debut campaign at Liverpool and he is the Premier League’s joint top scorer with 24 goals.
The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to Real Madrid come the end of the season with Zinedine Zidane ready to shake up his squad.
Recent reports suggested Salah could join Paris Saint-Germain if Real clinch a deal for Neymar.
But according to Spanish publication El Confidencial, the La Liga giants will look to snap up Salah if Gareth Bale leaves.
However, should they wish to sign Salah, it may cost them a lot more than they anticipate.
El Confidencial say the 25-year-old would fetch more than the £142million Liverpool sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January.
The report suggests he would likely match the £166m PSG lavished out on Kylian Mbappe, who will complete a permanent deal to the Parc des Princes in the summer.
A study carried out by CIES shows his market value has risen from £66.4m to £144.3m.
After a subdued display in the 2-1 defeat away to Manchester United last weekend, Salah will be hoping to get Liverpool back to winning ways at home to Watford on Saturday (5.30pm).
