LIONEL MESSI has told Barcelona chiefs to swoop for Seville star Clement Lenglet.
The French defender is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in La Liga.
Despite being only 22-years-old, he’s already racked up 67 first-team appearances for the Andalusian side.
And, according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Messi is keen for Lenglet to be snapped up.
Barca are trying to keep Samuel Umtiti on the books but contract talks have hit a brick wall.
It looks increasingly likely that the influential star could be on the move.
Speaking about numerous clubs tracking him ahead of the summer transfer window, Umtiti said last month: “Negotiations for a contract renewal have not started yet.
“My release clause is low, but that’s not what I worry about, I focus on the pitch.
“It’s not only Manchester United, other clubs want me as well, but my sole focus is on Barcelona.
“It was my dream to play at Barca. And I achieved it when I was just 22.
“I’m very happy here, whenever I play and whenever I train.”
