The Red Devils are thought to be keen to end his Real Madrid nightmare this summer.

According to reports, United have agreed personal terms with the Colombian and ‘everything’ has been settled between the club and the player.

However, Jose Mourinho is struggling to agree a fee with Real and the La Liga giants are standing firm.

They want a whopping £61.2m for the playmaker and United are not prepared to go that high.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol say Rodriguez is ready to do everything in his power to link up with Mourinho at Old Trafford.

AC Milan are keen on Rodriguez and have offered a loan with a compulsory purchase next summer.

They will struggle to meet his wage demands and Rodriguez is not sold on the idea.

He has his heart set on Manchester.

Rodriguez’s international team-mate and AC star Carlos Bacca thinks the playmaker’s time in the Spanish capital is coming to an end.

He said: ”It is not easy to make the decision to leave Real Madrid and go to another club.

“He must have a cool head, as he is doing because he is a professional.”
