Manchester City may have to do without Sergio Aguero for the rest of the season after the striker revealed he has undergone a minor knee operation.
Missing the weekend win at Tottenham Hotspur, the time length of the Argentine’s absence was unconfirmed by Pep Guardiola with the World Cup less than two months away.
“Recovering from an arthroscopy on my knee,” wrote Aguero on Twitter on Tuesday. “Fully motivated to get back soon to the field.”
La Albiceleste will now be on tenterhooks, waiting for news of the forward’s return, whereas City have already won the title and have Gabriel Jesus fit and firing to lead the line.
Recuperándome de una artroscopia en la rodilla. Y con toda la fuerza para volver pronto y mejor a las canchas 💪//Recovering from an arthroscopy on my knee. Fully motivated to get back soon to the field 💪
